Nelt receives incitement for development of combined transport

By signing a contract with the Serbian government on November 30, 2018. Nelt has been given incentives to improve combined transport. The subsidy will be used for the purchase of transshipment equipment and software. The ministry in charge of transportation stimulated seven public and private companies with a total amount of 114 million dinars.


The ceremony was attended by Ranko Sočanac, one of the directors of Nelt and the signatory of the contract. For the Serbian government, the contract was signed by Zorana Mihajlovic, Minister of Construction, Transport, and Infrastructure, who stated that the state supported the combined transport through the subsidy program for the first time this year. This way, a greater volume of combined transport will be achieved. The goods will be mostly transported by rail and the beginning and the end of the transportation will be done by road..


By opening the Intermodal Container Terminal, in December 2016, the Nelt company completely rounded up a range of logistics services. During the past two years since the terminal was opened, more than 150 compositions have passed through the business complex in Dobanovci and more than 25,000 manipulations with 7,000 containers have been realized. Partnerships with global maritime and logistics giants - Chinese company COSCO and French CMA CGM - have been agreed. Containers with goods have been transported via railway from Dobanovci to Rijeka port, Piraeus port and a terminal in Hungary.
